Serve
We are Catholics building a bridge back to faith.
Neighbors helping neighbors. The steadfast way to grow is to serve.
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."
1 Peter 4:10

Hospitality
We aspire to make our weekend Masses pleasant experiences. It’s more than just being a greeter. A simple motion to welcome others can be a powerful gesture of love for those who feel like strangers. It is not only a living out the Gospel, but an effective way to help outsiders feel like they belong.

Adoration
Eucharistic adoration provides a sacred space in which to simply “be” in the loving Presence of our Lord. Adoration is offered at St. James, Chamberlain on Fridays following 12:30 pm Mass, St. Margaret, Kimball on Thursdays after
12:30 pm Mass, and St. John, Plankinton on Fridays after 7:45 am Mass.

Lectors & Eucharistic Ministers
Parishioners who wish to serve as an Eucharistic Minister or as a Lector must be trained by our priests. If interested, please contact the parish office at
605-734-6122.

Money Counters
Every weekend and holy day collections are counted by volunteers.
Contact the parish office if you are willing to volunteer to count collection after Mass.

Community Food Pantry
If your community or neighboring town has a food pantry, consider donating some canned goods. Or if you are looking for a volunteer opportunity, contact your nearest pantry today to see how you can help!

Altar Serving
Altar serving is the role of assisting the priest during liturgy. Altar servers help with various tasks such as preparing the altar, presenting the bread and wine for the Eucharist, holding the book for prayers, carrying the incense, and assisting with the distribution of sacred vessels. Altar serving is often performed by young people, though adults may also serve. It is seen as both a form of service to the church and a spiritual ministry, fostering a deeper connection to the liturgy.
